Our Last Days in Bogota - Part 2

On the Saturday that Kevin came back to Colombia, during the day Katya (the owner of Hotel Paris) took Carlos, Maria, and I to a park where she used to take her sons when they were growing up.  It was such a fun place for kids to run, jump, climb, swing, balance, slide, etc!  Valeria (the hotel manager) and her seven year old daughter Camilla also came with us.  So much fun!  I felt honored that Katya invited us.

The next morning after Kevin flew back was a Sunday, so we all went to the markets one last time.  And then Kevin and Carlos went back to Parque Duque to the zoo, where Carlos and I had gone only two days before with the Schrotenboers.  He really enjoyed it there and wanted to show Daddy the monkeys and to ride on the paddle boats that we weren't able to ride when we were there since Maria was too little.  They had a beautiful, fun, and relaxing time together, playing together and watching the monkeys playing for hours that afternoon!

The next day was our last day in Bogota, and it was a beautiful sun-shiny day!  We walked to the local park, then to Juan Valdez for coffee and their huge cookie, and then on to Maku (the three-story artesian market) for some last minute shopping.

It felt so good to be together as a family of four, just strolling through our familiar section of Bogota, enjoying each other and taking in our last hours hours of this beautiful country that is now forever in our hearts!
