Family Day is the day we celebrate each year to comemorate the day we officially became a family on July 18, 2005. Each year on that day, Carlos will get to choose an activity that we do as a family. When asked what he wanted to do on this his first Family Day, he said "water, boats." So we went to the park near our house which is on a river and had some of his favorite foods for dinner: pizza, blueberries, and apple juice! We then gave him a gift from us that we bought in Guatemala. We bought enough gifts when we were down there to give him presents each year until he's eighteen! We had a wonderful evening together!
