Monseratte

Monseratte is the tallest mountain peak in Bogota. We went there with Mom and Dad K. this past Monday.  On top of the mountain is a beautiful old church.

There are stations of the cross along the path up to the church.

This is an awesome view of Bogota from the top of the mountain.

We traveled up the mountain in this train, and this is the view of the city

This is the inside of the train - it's slanted so that each standing area is above the next one, kind of hard to explain.  It's steep.

A view of the track from the train.

It was a beautiful day!

Oh I love Monseratte! Your pictures were great! It also makes me smile how you are just taking everything in...not rushing home as quick as you possibly can! This time is a gift, and the fact that Kevin gets to fly back out and take you home is so wonderful! Take all of this last week in...you will hold it close to your heart forever! Can't wait to see Maria again, and Carlos in his new role as big brother. It was funny, the other day, Silas said to me..."Mom, now that Carlos is there, I think I want to go visit Colombia again!" To cute! Praying daily! Con Mucho Amor, Kristi
